He also joined the club in age nine. He played with 193 matches for South Melbourne at the National Soccer League. Ange Postecoglou started training South Melbourne from 1996 until 2000. He led his group to National Soccer League. In 1999 his group won the Oceania Club Championship which directed them to take part in the 2000 FIFA Club World Championship.
