Even the Red Deer Rebels of the Western Hockey League (WHL) Chosen Dumba Using their first round Choice, fourth overall, at the 2009 WHL Bantam Draft. He left his WHL debut in 2009–10, emerging in six regular season matches & two playoff games to the Rebels.
