She’s also a priest and also serves as an IT analyst for the United States Department of Commerce. She then became popular after winning the Miss District of Columbia USA 2016 on December 19, 2015. Following that, she competed at the Miss USA 2016 pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada. She won the contest on June 5, 2016. Barber is the primary military member to win Miss USA title. After winning Miss USA 2016, she represented the USA in Miss Universe 2016 at Manila.
