Éric Ripert: Career and Professional LifeRipert began his career at age 17 in 1982, when he proceeded to Paris. There he worked for a couple of years in La Tour d e ‘Argent, a famed restaurant over 400 years old. Ripert next functioned at Jamin beneath Joël Robuchon and was shortly promoted to Assistant Chef de Partie. In 1985 Ripert made to meet his army service, and he returned into Jamin as Chef Poissonier. Back in 1989, Ripert transferred into the US and has been hired as a sous chef at the Jean Louis Palladin pub. He remained for 2 years before going into New York City from 1991 to work for David Bouley.
