Nell Fortner: Career and Professional Life
Nell Started her basketball in the New Braunfels High School. Following that, she won a double scholarship in volleyball and basketball into the University of Texas, where she performed 1978-81 under Coach Jody Conradt. She helped direct the Texas volleyball team into the 1981 AIAW National Championship. She was also inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame in the Exact Same time. While coming into her coaching career, she’s been coaching in the high school, college, pro and global level for at least two decades. She started her training career from Killen High School, Texas. She headed US National Basketball team to gold decoration in a variety of championships like Sydney Olympic 2000, 1998 Berlin Olympic and William Jones Cup in 1998. She served the National group, WNBA, and Auburn as a head coach during her career and directed them to different accomplishments. She became the fifth head coach in Auburn Tigers girls ‘s basketball background in April 2004. Fortner headed the United States girls ‘s national basketball team to a 101–14 record.
