Sarsgaard started his acting career acting in plays within an offshoot of New York’s Actors Studio. His initial role was the slave Laurent from the renowned theatrical comedy Tartuffe. That exact same year, he left his film acting debut playing Walter Delacroix in Dead Man Walking (1995). He had been nominated for the “2004 Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor” because of his portrayal in the film. Since that time, Peter has emerged in many of films and TV movies. His operation Jarhead earned him a few Satellite awards nominations. He won “Glitter Awards- Best Supporting Actor” to get Kinsey at 2005.
