The next year, he had been signed up by Penticton Vees of the British Columbia Hockey League. After playing three seasons with the Penticton Vees, he transferred into U. of North Dakota of NCHC throughout the 2013-14 year old. Troy spent three seasons with the team played a year for Utica Comets. Following that, Vancouver Canucks of all NHL signed to a two-year entrance contract on April 13, 2016.
