Akim first started playing ice hockey at a home league at the Toronto area of Parkdale. He started his hockey career with the Milton Icehawks of all Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) through the 2004-05 season. Seeing his natural gift for the match, he had been drafted in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) from the first round from the Windsor Spitfires for its 2005-06 season. Since That Time, He’s played for Many teams such as Sudbury Wolves and also London Knights of OHL and Rockford IceHogs, Rockford IceHogs, along with Chicago Wolves of all AHL. Aliu declared his first pro contract on August 25, 2008, a tenth deal together with all the Blackhawks. Aliu was signed up together using the Rochester Americans at summer time on October 10, 2014. He included 10 games with the Americans until he was published and signed from the Bakersfield Condors of the ECHL on January 23, 2015.
