Back in 2003, Freitag and restaurateur Godfrey Polistina opened the Upper West Side restaurant Called Cesca Enoteca & Trattoria. She had been Executive Chef at The Harrison for a While. She collaborated on Iron Chef America at “Fight: King Crab”, but dropped to Bobby Flay. Freitag competed in The following Iron Chef Season two and completed in fourth location. Amanda subsequently made yet another appearance as a contestant on season five of the Next Iron Chef. Unfortunately, she dropped to Alexandra Guarnaschelli from the finale on December 23, 2012.
