On top of that, watching talented friends do it time and time again like @ReedMorano, @OliviaWilde and @NoraMKirkpatrick. ————————————- I started making movies of my friends in high school with funny old school video cameras, then I'd edit them on my computer. Three years ago, I had a fifteen person crew when we shot this short film in Paris starring the glorious @MargaretQualley. A special shout out to Jesse Brunt, my DP for our film, pictured here, above. Last October, that crew number tripled in size when I directed Luke Wilson in Berlin, I Love You. Luke, like Margaret was unbelievably game to play. Our wonderful DP @kolja_dp and I knew we had to work quickly and he never faltered. I was proud to be given the opportunity to work with such exceptional talent on all sides of the camera. ———————————————— So, after noticing this tag #femalefilmmakerfriday going around, I had to mention that I feel incredibly lucky to say that this high school hobby became something more than I could have imagined.
